Prayer for Building God's House
Heavenly Father, You are the Giver of every good gift. We thank you for the blessing already received, and for the generosity that has provided the first fruits toward our future church. Lord Jesus Christ, “You had not place to lay Your head,” yet You now call us to prepare a dwelling where Your people may worship You in spirit and in truth. Strengthen our faith, that we may trust in Your providence.
Holy Spirit, open the hearts of benefactors, stir the generosity of all who believe, and grant us the means to begin and complete this holy work. Make us cheerful givers, confident that every sacrifice offered will be multiplied in grace for generations to come.
Through the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia, our patroness, and Mary, Mother of the Church, bless our parish family with hope. Grant that, when the day comes to break ground, we may say with joy: This is the Lord’s doing, and it is a marvelous in our eye. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord!
AMEN!
St. Rita of Cascia, pray for us!
ALL: That we may be generous and faithful.

St. Rita in the Desert Roman Catholic parish Building Committee has been diligently working to gather facts to assist our parishioners and the Diocese of Tucson Building Committee to determine the best course of action where to build.
Our building committee has put together a document that may assist us in making the best choice for the future of St. Rita in the Desert Roman Catholic Parish.
Our priority as stated in our document is to pay off the rectory. Our building committee asks our vested parishioners to consider making a monthly commitment to help us meet our goal.
Our second goal is to meet with our Diocesan Building Committee to share the results of our white paper and the result of our debt pay off commitment.
Thirdly, and most importantly, we ask for the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia for her intercession in bringing the construction of our new church to fruition.
