St. Rita

Marian Rose Garden

A Place of Prayer, Peace & Reflection

A peaceful place to pause, pray, and draw closer to Christ through the loving example of His Blessed Mother.

A Garden Dedicated to Our Blessed Mother

Nestled within the grounds of St. Rita in the Desert on the Eastside of the historic Santa Rita Shrine, the Marian Rose Garden offers parishioners and  visitors a quiet place to step away from the busyness of daily life and spend a few moments in prayer. Surrounded by the beauty of roses, visitors are invited to sit, reflect, and seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Whether you come with gratitude, a prayer intention, or simply a desire for peace, the garden offers a welcoming place for quiet reflection.

Why Roses for Mary?

Throughout Catholic tradition, roses have long been associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary, symbolizing love, purity, and devotion.

Mary is often honored as the Mystical Rose, a title that reflects her beauty, holiness, and unique place in God's plan of salvation.

Just as a garden requires patience, care, and nurturing, our spiritual lives flourish when rooted in prayer, faith, and trust in God.

The Marian Rose Garden offers a beautiful reminder of Mary's invitation to follow her Son, Jesus Christ.

A Place to Pause & Pray

Visitors are welcome to spend time in quiet prayer and reflection.

The garden features a statue of Our Lady and benches where visitors may sit, pray the Rosary, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment in God's creation.

There is no formal program or scheduled activity. The garden is intended to be a place of personal devotion and contemplation.

Beauty Through the Seasons

The Marian Rose Garden reflects the changing beauty of God's creation throughout the year.

As the roses bloom and the seasons change, the garden remains a reminder of the beauty found in faith, patience, and quiet moments with God.

A Moment with Mary

“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” ~Luke 1:38

Mary's response to God's call is a beautiful example of humility, faith, and trust. As you spend time in the garden, consider bringing your joys, worries, and intentions before God, asking Our Lady to pray with you and for you.

Help Our Garden Flourish

We would love to welcome you.

The Marian Rose Garden is maintained through the generosity of parish volunteers who share their time and talents to preserve this special place of devotion.
